Our Corsican Dream Holiday
A few years back, me and the wife went on a Simpson Travel vacation. We browsed several web sites on holidays in Corsica with a couple of friends who were going with us. There are several luxury luxury villas in Corsica and neither of us had been on a self catering holiday before, so we decided to rent one for ten days.
We were most impressed when we got to our place of residence in Corsica. Our villa was very different from the small house we lived in back home. I had never experienced this level of comfort and luxury before. We had a secluded, private pool, marble floors throughout and high tech equipment throughout the villa. It was a pleasure to wake up each day, to amazing sea views.
Every day during our stay in Corsica was total bliss. On most days I would wake up early so that I could get an early morning swim in, therefore making good use of the pool. We planned the day ahead over a poolside brunch, while admiring the stunning views from the villa. During most of the days we were staying in Corsica, we toured the island by going for long walks. There were many things to do and see throughout our stay. The locals were always friendly and warm and eager to help us.
On some evenings we had poolside barbecues. Dining out underneath the stars was a tremendous feeling. On some evenings we went into town to try out the fine restaurants there.
If you have never visited this beautiful island before, I would thoroughly recommend going on a self catering holiday there. The holiday there has many special memories which I will treasure for a long while.
