Brush Up On Your African Before You Take Off On Your Safari Adventure

When you’re visiting a foreign country it’s good manners to try and speak the local tongue, not only will the local people appreciate the effort you’ve gone to as you’ve learnt a few words, but you will deliver a clear message to the nearby people that you ultimately show an interest for their country and your eager to learn more.

In the table below iv’e added a few basic translations which you may find useful when travelling across the African continent as the majority of the country’s speak Swahili or a variation of it.

I’ve thrown in some emergency terms as well you can never be too safe.

I wrote this piece because I’ve been looking at Safari Holidays I wanted to teach myself a little Swahili before i booked my African adventure.

Please be aware though some African countries don’t speak Swahili such as Mozambique, When OnMozambique Holidays expect to come across many Portuguese tongued people

it’s rules of thumb for many country’s to teacher “English” from an early age, which is very beneficial to all of use who speak English as our mother tongue.

On South Africa Holidays There’s no need to even learn any of the words as the everybody speaks fluent English the only difference is that it’s in an African accent.
