Family Holiday In Mauritius
My husband of twelve years, two children and I have just returned from a holiday in Mauritius and we are all in agreement that it was the best holiday we have ever had.
I adored taking my daughter to Tamarin Bay on a speed boat to swim with the dolphins. It is true what they say; it is definitely one of the things that a person should do before they die; it is so fun to swim around with the playful and intelligent mammals. I know this was my daughters own personal holiday highlight. We both also loved visiting Blue Bay Marine Park. Although beautiful, it is so sad that this coral kingdom is threatened by external factors.
Our day at Parc Adventure was also another holiday highlight. It was great seeing the kids (and us adults too!) enjoying fun exercise together; swinging, climbing and steadying our way through the “adventure track” which was located within beautiful tropical forest. When we were done with all the action and it was approaching evening, it was really nice to find a communal BBQ going on back at the beach and we were warmly invited to join in.
On the final day of our holiday together, I also surprised my husband with a lesson in quad biking as it was his birthday and I knew it was something he always wanted a shot at. He – of course – loved this and is really craving another go at it!
I am so glad to have shared this experience with my kids. I’m now making up for the lack of travel that occurred in my youth and have made sure that my children know how privileged they are to have experienced such a wonderful time on this Mauritius holidays. They never wanted to leave!
