Surfing Holiday Tips

Thinking of going on a surfing holiday? Here are some surfing holiday tips you can follow to have a great time.

First, you should always be wary of possible dangers and stay away from them. Even in places that seem almost safe, there might be hidden dangers lurking around. A Tapestry of Calcutta

The name of Calcutta, India, has been changed to Kolkata. I shall use the name Calcutta as that was the name of the city while I was there in 1989.

The following is some of my experiences in Calcutta. It is a surreal place:

A woman approached me with a babe in arms. My baby’s hungry, needs powder milk, she said, holding out her hand. I was totally in shock. I told here that I would take her to buy milk. At the store, Indian men were laughing. She’ll just sell it back! one man said. I still bought it of course, but was in shock. How could someone tell me it was for her desperate baby, just to sell it back to make money. I was totally shocked.

A Great Family Backyard Camping Trip

Used tent trailers are great for families who want to "rough it" closer to home. All the comforts of traditional tent camping and an RV, but easier on the wallet and you can store it in your garage.

There are many fun traditional camping activities that you can enjoy from your own backyard in a tent trailer:

Food

What camping experience is complete without the food? Your first thoughts will probably be to just camp out of your refrigerator or pantry, but this is a bad idea. Keep with an authentic camping experience and bring a cooler outside with everything you need.

Unplugged Kids Travel Games And Activities

Looking for some unplugged time to spend with your family? Travel time is the perfect time to reconnect with family by playing fun, challenging games and activities – no batteries or power cord required.

Car Games: Enhance that competitive spirit by playing classic road games that depend on luck and powers of observation like billboard bingo or the license plate game. Challenge a parent’s fading memory skills by alternating singing songs starting with each letter of the alphabet and see who gets stumped first. Continue with a rousing rendition of "Name That Tune" style guessing games using lines from familiar family songs, famous quotes or even nursery rhymes. Keep kids engaged in the games by awarding small prizes to the winners.

Worlds Top Yachts – The Anson Bell

The HMS Anson was a French navy warship which served the British Royal Navy in the 18th and 19th centuries. When the ship wasn’t in battle, it occasionally attended to the British royal family. During a storm in 1807, the Anson wrecked off of the coast of Cornwall, England, and the ship was virtually destroyed. After the loss of the Anson, many changes were made when rebuilding the ship, all placing high emphasis on safety and rescue techniques. Now, 200 years later, the same emphasis was placed on building a ship, only this time it is for pleasure.

Visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida at Universal’s Islands of Adventure

We were extremely lucky to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands Adventure part of Universal’s resort Orlando, Florida in its first week of the official opening. Was it busy? Yes Did we enjoy our visit? Yes, very much Did the new ride ‘Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey’ live up to our expectations? Yes absolutely, this ride is amazing. If you are planning a visit I hope that you find the following tips useful:

* Plan your visit for later in the day (I suggest 4pm onwards). Everybody appears to be heading here first on arrival at the park, plus guests at Universal resort are granted early entrance (before the park officially opens) so trying to beat the queues in the morning, currently appears impossible. In the morning we visited there was a queue just to enter the Harry Potter section; we returned much later in the day and walked straight into this section.
