Catch More Than Just a Tan on Your Next Vacation!
It is a well known fact that Americans work way too hard with little time off to relax or vacation. Therefore when we work hard we should play even harder, when we do finally get that much coveted and sought after vacation time we should pack it full of fun, exciting and memorable activities.
After spending day in day out behind a desk and indoors, get out under the sun and enjoy some outdoor recreational activities in the destination of your choice. Check out boat rentals and get on the lake, do some fishing or enjoy some water sports. If you prefer something on land, look into horseback riding or a nature hike through some of the most beautiful places in the country.
If the west coast is more appealing, then explore the beach and catch more than just a tan. Rent a surfboard and take lessons, go snorkeling and witness some of the ocean’s most amazing sea creatures or just go for a leisurely swim through life guarded areas.
Where ever you travel be sure to inquire about guided tours through parts of the city you might never get to explore on your own. A lot of cities offer bike tours where you can rent a bike and pedal along with a local guide while learning all kinds of interesting facts and stories about the area you are visiting. Be sure to ask about local festivals and fairs that may be going on while you are in town, most cities hold several outdoor festivals and county fairs through the summer months.
If you are a sports fan than visit the many professional sports stadiums across the country. Whether you want to take in hockey, basketball, baseball or football going to see a game while on vacation is always a fun adventure. Plan it ahead of time and maybe you can see your local hometown favorite take on the rival team, just be careful what you wear and how loud you cheer for the opposing team!! If you’d love to go out to the ball game but finding it doesn’t fit the budget look into minor league teams and college sports, easier on the pocketbook leaving you with a little change to go out for a celebratory dinner.
So whether you choose to catch a wave, saddle up, get out on the lake or let the professional athletes do all the work, incorporating sports and recreation into your vacation will make the trip invigorating, memorable and send you back to your office with a smile, a tan, and an amazing story to share.
