If you don’t purchase a Rail Europe Pass Protection and lose your rail pass, then you will unfortunately have to buy the pass and tickets to continue using the train.
If you lost a virtual ticket or a ticket printed from an online purchase, you can easily print it again on your computer. Be sure to notify the railway company about lost tickets immediately so they can give you a new ticket and cancel the ticket if it is stolen. If you show up at the train station and try to reason with the conductor about losing your ticket, he will likely charge you for a new ticket and not get reimbursement for the lost ticket.
